Morning Pages | 12 August 2025
I wrote two pages this morning sitting out on the porch. It's been a slow morning and that's okay.

After I came in to scan these pages and start work, I spent some time reading the Substack essays that were in my inbox. This one by Morgana Clementine entitled The ecstasy of routine really resonated with me, so much so that I bought a trial subscription to read the rest of it. It made me feel seen and went a long way to explaining why I feel exhausted after my masonic trips at weekends. I mean I knew that anyway, but it just felt validating, you know? And it was a nice connection to make after having just written about my two-day exhaustion after just one day in friendly company. It's a real thing, not just me being pathetic. So, thank you Morgana!
