Not just a reading group, but an in-person reading group. Wait... don't you have social anxiety? Exactly!
Do I want to start an in-person reading group? I do and I don't. Let's see where my writing takes me.
And what if I were to take Ted’s humanities list and make that the literature for the in-person group? Tie it together with the Substack and push myself into reading more closely and making more thoughtful content on these classics? Hmmm. So it becomes more of an accountability thing—personal growth through stepping out the front door and literary growth through reading humanity’s greatest works more closely. This is making me feel quite excited, and that feeling tells me something that I would do well not to ignore. It’s just the kind of thing that Ted might have had in mind when he shared his list.
