In which I'm pondering my reading for this month and next year. And writing; that too. I can hear Hamish's voice in my head saying, 'is this just another thing to fail at?'. Is it? It's all about time, which means it's all about planning.
And I can show Hamish that you can’t finish a project that you didn’t start. And not knowing if you’ll see a project through isn’t a reason for not starting. And besides, what are these pages here if not writing? Ha!
I'm probably about 50/50 mood reader vs planner. Having bookshelves next to my desk means that there's probably ten different books I want to start each day, as I walk past the shelves to exit the living room and see them looking so desirable. And if I were to build a 2025-list, well, would that not kill any chance of mood reading? ESPECIALLY if I'm still following Ted's humanities list and sticking to one Realm of the Elderlings books a month till I'm done with the series (I'm half-way through 16 books).
