This ended up being a bit of a bookish entry. It feels like autumn is making me feel like reading more and I'm okay with that. It could be fun to explore where I was going towards the end of today's writing. At 53 it feels like I've missed all the boats, you know? My aspirations of being a writer seem to be going nowhere, partly due to the fact that my reading is taking over. And as a musician, I simply have to acknowledge that I play for fun and not as a job, and also that it is fun and I would like to do more of it. But there's always that performative element in what I do, whether it's music or freemasonry or, heck, even just writing a personal diary. I'm not sure why I have that in me, but it's there and I'd do well to acknowledge that too.
